Tennant Company Honors K-12 Custodians with Launch of Custodians Are Key

Finalists Vie for $15,000 Prize Package; Program Runs Sept 9, 2019-May 6, 2020

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 9, 2019 –  Tennant Company (NYSE: TNC), a world leader in designing, manufacturing and marketing of solutions to reinvent how the world cleans, today announced the launch of Custodians Are Key, an 8-month recognition program that rewards the great work K-12 custodians are doing in schools around the country and honors them and their school with a $15,000 prize package. The program launches September 9th as students head back to the classroom for the 2019-2020 school year.  It concludes on May 6, 2020.

Tennant invites school administrators, teachers, and parents to nominate their custodians, three of whom will be chosen as finalists each quarter during the program. The finalists receive a $500 gift card. By May 20th, Tennant will select a grand prize winner from a group of 12 finalists. The winner receives a prize valued at $5,000 while his or her school receives $10,000.

“We all know the important role school custodians play in the cleanliness of their schools, but day-to-day, they each make a difference in the lives of students, staff and teachers through personal connections or even a simple friendly smile,” said Lisa Kingsley, Channel Marketing Manager, Tennant Company. “We wanted to recognize these custodians who make schools a happier, healthier and safer place to learn and work. That’s why we created the Custodians Are Key program.”
