SpinX is a hands-free solution to the dirtiest chore in the house. Created by entrepreneurial couple—and parents of four—Hila and Ariel Ben-Amram, the automatic toilet-cleaning robot uses a rotating brush, water jets, and compressed air to clean and dry the bowl and seat in 90 seconds. The high-tech gadget replaces the existing lid and seat and is designed to fit most round or elongated (but not square) toilets; it also comes with a removable cover that hides the robot’s innards when not in use.
Plenty of people seem to agree: In just two days, the SpinX Kickstarter campaign surpassed its $50,000 goal, thanks to 57 early-bird backers. The device is hidden behind a toilet lid cover; built to withstand up to 330 lbs of weight, it promises to kill 99.9 percent of bacteria; its built-in battery lasts for up to 30 cleanings, and detaches for easy charging.
