DAYTON, OHIO – Sept. 20, 2019 – Cintas Corporation’s (NASDAQ: CTAS) Rental facility in Dayton, Ohio is the 100thworksite to receive Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Additionally, the Dayton First Aid and Safety location is the company’s 101st VPP site. To celebrate the occasion, Cintas held a special ceremony on Sept. 17th in Dayton.
Cintas employee-partners were joined by special guests including Doug Kalinowski, US Dept. of Labor, Director of Cooperative and State Programs, OSHA; Vanessa Martin, Safety and Health Manager, OSHA; Donna Wallace, OSHA Assistant Area Director and William Neitzke, Director of Safety, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
VPP Star is OSHA’s highest recognition for the practice of and commitment to exemplary occupational safety and health, earned by businesses who meet rigorous safety requirements. Cintas is the number one participant in the nation for companies with VPP sites, with approximately 250 facilities throughout the world actively pursuing VPP recognition by OSHA or the equivalent under a similar certifying body.
